HireMUA ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

1. Information We Collect

Artist accounts: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide (bio, location, portfolio photos, service descriptions).

Booking data: We store booking details that artists enter, including client names, email addresses, phone numbers, event dates, and service information. This data is entered by the artist and stored to power the booking and contract workflow.

Client signatures: When a client signs a contract, we store their electronic signature (as an image), name, signature date, and intake questionnaire responses. This data belongs to the booking record and is accessible to the artist.

Billing information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — Stripe handles all payment data under their own security standards (PCI-DSS Level 1).

Usage data: We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited to help diagnose issues and improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the HireMUA platform
• To process bookings and deliver contracts between artists and clients
• To send transactional emails (contract signing links, prep guides, reminders) on behalf of artists
• To process subscription payments and manage billing
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), and Resend (transactional email) to operate the platform. Each processes data solely to provide their service to us.
• Between artists and clients: Booking information entered by an artist is visible to the client when they receive their contract link. Client-submitted intake data and signatures are visible to the booking artist.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies that ensure each artist can only access their own data. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. We retain booking data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

5. Cookies

HireMUA uses session cookies set by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from staying signed in.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including rights under CCPA in California or PIPEDA in Canada), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Port your data to another service

7. Children's Privacy

HireMUA is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
